More Info

The Mazak VTC-200C traveling-column vertical machining center is well suited for machining longer plates, rails, fixture components, fabricated parts, and multiple smaller workpieces arranged across its 78″ table. Its 65″ X-axis travel provides substantially more longitudinal capacity than a conventional mid-sized VMC, making it a practical fit for job shops and contract manufacturers that need added flexibility for long parts, multi-part fixturing, or repeat production work.

Unlike a conventional moving-table VMC, the VTC-200C moves the spindle column along the X-axis while the workpiece remains stationary on the table. This configuration helps accommodate longer setups and heavier fixture arrangements without moving the loaded table through the machine’s full X-axis stroke. The 12,000 RPM spindle, 24-position automatic tool changer, 1,181 IPM rapid traverse, and synchronous tapping support efficient drilling, tapping, contouring, and general milling across mixed workloads and repeat jobs.

The Mazatrol 640MN CNC control, automatic tool-life management, extended G54.1 work coordinates, and Mazatrol conversational machining cycles add useful production flexibility for shops running multiple fixtures, repeat programs, or families of related parts. Mazak’s broad installed base and familiar control platform may also appeal to facilities already operating Mazak equipment or looking to add available traveling-column machining capacity without introducing an unfamiliar machine platform.
